Insight Meditation of Cleveland provides a gathering place for those who wish to practice Insight (or vipassana) meditation. Insight meditation is a simple, direct practice, a moment-to-moment investigation of the mind/body process through calm and focused awareness.
Learning to observe experience from a place of stillness enables one to relate to life with less fear and clinging. Seeing life as a constantly changing process, one begins to accept beauty and
pain, fear and joy in all aspects of life with increasing equanimity and balance. As insight deepens, wisdom and compassion arise.
Insight meditation is a way of seeing clearly the totality of one's being and experience. Our growth in clarity brings penetrating insight into the nature of who we are and increased peace in our daily lives.

Our Scheduled Meditations
The Shaker Heights group meets every Thursday from 7 - 8:30 PM at the First Unitarian Church of Cleveland.
The Brecksville group meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Brecksville Human Services Center.
The Westside group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month on the west side of Cleveland.

News and Events
~ Dr. Nancy Rubel will be offering spring and summer mindfulness classes. There will be an Awakening Class for new meditators and a Deepening Class for experienced practitioners. The programs begin in May. Click here for details.
~ The North Royalton sitting group will not meet in March or April. Sittings will resume in May.
~ University Hospital is offering an 8-week course in mindfulness.
~ Chas DiCapua is coming to Ann Arbor, Michican, for a public talk and for a daylong retreat.
